Intermediate Knitting
This top-down baby’s cardigan is the perfect pattern to feature gorgeous gradient yarn, but it looks equally stunning in a solid colour or in a hand-painted yarn. This pattern is worked in one piece with no sewing, so that the colours flow seamlessly from one part to the next. The puff sleeves and full skirt add some flair and drama to the idea of a plain short-sleeved cardigan. This is the younger sister pattern to Jenny 4ply Kids Cardigan, which will be available soon in sizes 2y-12y.

Sizes – prem (newborn, 3m, 6m, 9m, 12m),
to fit chest sizes 30 (35, 40, 45, 50, 52.5)cm
Garment sizes 35 (40, 45, 50, 55, 57.5)cm
Garment length 20 (23, 26, 29, 32, 34)cm

Yarn – 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) balls of Adorn Silky Merino 4ply, Adorn Silky Cashmerino 4ply, Bellissimo 4ply, Katia Merino Baby Aquarelle or Katia Cotton Cashmere 4ply, or 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) skeins Fiori Sock

Needles – 3.25mm and 3mm circular needles – 60-80cm depending on size made
Extras – 6 stitchmarkers (2 for border and 4 for raglan shaping), 3 buttons, tapestry needle for sewing ends

Tension – 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm in Stocking Stitch, on larger needles.
Check your tension for an accurate fit.
